Rescue Story: Damien was actually a bribe to get me to finish college. I was struggling hardcore and considering dropping out, so my mother told me if I graduated, she would get me a pit bull (knowing I had always wanted one.) She put a call out to several local rescues, and during finals week we were notified a Momma pit bull had been seized from a breeder and had just delivered her puppies. Damien was one of the few survivors, due to parvo. When we went to pick out a puppy, he jumped into my arms and refused to leave my side. It was love at first sight, for both of us.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? I like to take Damien on hikes, but he prefers to stay in and watch TV on the couch.
What is life like since you rescued Damien? Since getting Damien, every day is an adventure. For example, his newest thing is to get on the kitchen table and throw things off of it. But it’s hard to get mad at him, because he keeps me grounded.
Photographers Note: I met up with Jackie and Damien at a small quiet park, which was a perfect spot for his photo shoot. Damien is just the cutest bug, that face and his adorable under bite would melt anyone's heart. He is also the epitome of a velcro dog. He just wanted to be touching or next to his Mom the entire time. (Dont worry, I was not deprived of attention. Sitting on the ground made me a very easy target for a few kisses and cuddles. Phew! ) The bond between these two is such a special one and the love they share was a pleasure to witness. Damien is just the typical pibble, happy, wiggly and smiley....
