What makes Betty White unique? Betty loves to “talk”. When she wants to play or just tell you what she’s thinking. She will chit chat with you and even say “wuv (love) you”!
Rescue Story: I had just moved from Alabama to be with Cameron. We knew eventually we wanted to get a dog, but we were going to wait until we got a house and moved out of our apartment. Betty had other plans! She decided to be super cute playing with her foster sister and her tennis ball, and when I came across her picture I just knew she was the one! At our first meet & greet, there was no denying that she was the piece to our little family that we never knew was missing.
What is your favorite pastime as a family? It’s hard to pick just one because we have so much fun. Outside: She loves going to the park, new Braves stadium, and on bully walks to make new friends and enjoy the outdoors! Inside: We like to get on the floor, play wrestle, and make “Twister poses” so she can crawl in and out of our arms and legs like an obstacle course.
What is life like since you rescued Betty White? PRICELESS. There are times where she “pouts” and gives us the silent treatment when she doesn’t get her way. But, she is also the most loyal, obedient, and loving dog. We have learned to give up our space on the couch, in our bed (on the few nights she sleeps outside of her kennel), and definitely in our hearts! We have learned about proper discipline, rewards for good behavior, fitting a 70-lbs dog in the bathtub, and the paranoia that arises from the smallest skin rashes. I can’t even remember what life was like before we adopted her.
Photographers Note: First of all, Callie had asked if I wouldn't mind using their family shot to help with a pretty big announcement! OF COURSE NOT! So honored to be able to do that for them and paws crossed a certain 4- legged pit mix may be a ring bearer???
We did the photo shoot in a great open field, with plenty of room for Betty to show off her stick and ball prowess. She had a blast running around and provided a lot of opportunities for some great action shots! She also has the darkest most beautiful eyes. I could see an amazing reflection in each shot. Instead of correcting that, I decided to keep it because it just adds to her uniqueness. This girl is just the sweetest and so well behaved. It was really wonderful to see what a great little family they already are!
