What makes Bronx unique? He will climb up on the couch or bed with you just to cuddle because he wants to be loved and get loved. As well as he knows when he needs to be gentle. He will be acting all crazy jumping & playing with his brother but when he is around a kid it’s like he knows he needs to be careful. Sometimes I have to remind him but he’s just so sweet and loving.
Bronx is all Happy & Joy!
Rescue Story: : The day I took Bronx home is actually funny. My Mom & I were going grocery shopping at Walmart one Sunday. When we go to leave we see this truck and saw it had puppies. Usually I would want to go over there and see them but I didn’t want to because I knew I would go home with another dog; which I had two of my own at home already. My mom is the one who always tells me not to bring home any more animals, well she kept telling me Kayla stop. I was like fine but we can’t have any more animals. Well we stopped and there it was, my Bronx and his sister in the bed of the truck. I wanted so badly to take him home but I knew I already had two responsibilities at home; which two dogs is a lot for one person to handle alone. My mom was like c’mon he’s so cute and sweet. I personally didn’t want to just because I knew I would end up caring for him myself because my mom would get tired of everything that had to do with caring for animals. I gave in and said fine knowing he would be mine after a month. He was so precious and sweet but very scared at first. I fell in love immediately. Well when talking to the owners they were telling us how they had someone that was supposed to come back for him and my heart sank. I had already had the idea we were taking him home, so the owners had called the people that were supposed to show back up and no one answered; so they let us take him. They had told us that their dogs had had an accidental pregnancy before they were supposed to get nurtured and they had too many dogs at home, so if these didn’t go to a new home they’d go to the pound. That was a no brainer for me because I knew more than likely at some point in Bronx’s life he would end up at the shelter because someone would get tired of him or some other excuse. Here it is a year and a half later and I could not imagine my life without Bronx. He is the silliest boy, he likes to roll on his back and just freeze in the craziest positions with his mouth open and tongue out. He gets so excited he runs into walls (LOL), he’s okay he never gets hurt. He is also my baby literally he loves taking naps and even more so when he’s cuddled up to someone he has to always be touching you for the most part. Spend a day with him and you’d love him just as much as I do.
From the bed of a truck to his forever home.
What is your favorite pastime as a family? I just love when he climbs into my lap and literally lays his whole body on mine with his head on my chest and falls asleep. He looks like an angel, besides the fact that he snores and grunts like a grown man!
What is life like since you rescued Bronx? I honestly couldn’t imagine life without him. He brings so much joy and happiness to my life. I went a couple weeks without him and it made me depressed that I couldn’t have him with me at all times. He just has this thing about him that once you’ve met him he leaves a mark on you.
Photographers Note: The word I would use to describe Bronx is exuberant. Happiness & joy comes out of every inch of him. We met up at a nice big park and tried to find a spot that wasn’t too muddy for Bronx to run around. Well of course, the White Dog took no time at all in finding mud and pealing out in it, at the beginning of the shoot. We both laughed and went with it, I mean how often are our dogs pristinely clean anyway? There were so many new smells and new people around, including the lady sitting on the ground that he would come and visit with in between shots. When we did get his attention, just adorable and very photogenic. I have to agree with Kayla, I only spent about 40m with him and I loved him too, didn’t need the whole day with him to make that decision!
