What makes Brody Bee unique? Bee is the happiest, most sunshine filled dog - she wants nothing more than everyone to enjoy life as much as she does.

Up close and personal with Brody Bee!

Rescue Story: Bee was found curled up in a tight little ball of herself in a ditch off of United Ave. The couple that found her thought she was trash at first, until she popped her head up. She was super malnourished but so full of personality, they named her Duchess and got her checked out by a local vet. They already had a furbaby who wasn’t up for sharing the spotlight, so they posted Bee’s photo on Facebook and it was shared by one of my good friends. When my husband and I saw her picture we just knew she was supposed to be in our family.

Are you my forever home?

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Bee’s absolute favorite thing to do is go for a car ride. She loves getting to cruise around with the windows down and check everything out. Every Saturday morning we get up early and go for a quick ride to a drive thru for breakfast. Without fail, Saturday morning at 8am, she’s bouncing on the bed to wake us up with all the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning. Her anticipation and expressions of that 15min car ride is the highlight of our week.

What is life like since you rescued Brody Bee? Our lives are so much more complete with Bee in it! She is definitely the Queen Bee of our house and we wouldn’t have it any other way. She is beyond spoiled and knows it! Bee helps us remember how happy and full of light the world is; all that we have to do is slow down a little and enjoy it. That yes, bad things happen, but you can’t let that hold you back. Seeing her explore new things and live a life of luxury brings us so much joy. Her wiggly butt and giant smile helps everyone else she meets feel the same way too.

Photographers Note: I met up with Brody Bee, Caralee & Kyle on a warm Friday evening in Oakland Cemetery, which is such a fun place to do a photo shoot. Upon meeting Bee, you immediately smile. She just exudes the attitude that “THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER”. She had us cracking up during the whole shoot. Even though the humans were hot, she just took everything in stride until……. At one point, I suggested getting a shot by this cute little fountain , well Bee thought that was a great idea too because she immediately wanted to go over the side and into the water!!! So maybe she was a little warm after all! :) At the end of the shoot, as we walked back to our cars, I got to witness that happiest of “going for a car ride” smiles as she and I said our goodbyes!
