Rescue Story: I was working for the Village Vets when I saw a young girl carrying a pittie puppy into our lobby. For some reason I was very drawn to her; met her at the door and took the puppy from her. She said she found him in her friend's yard and he was non weight bearing on one of his back legs. The owner of the house didn't want him, so she brought him to us for help. She knew she couldn't keep the puppy, so I agreed to foster him for her. After I brought him home and before the day was over my husband and I and our other dogs fell absolutely in love with his playful and loving spirit. We knew we had to help him through his injury and give him the nurturing home he deserved. After 8 weeks of casts on his leg and physical therapy he was as good as new and an essential new member of our family.

All casted up & ready to heal in his forever home.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Running on the beach, chasing birds and playing fetch followed by extreme snuggle sessions and naps.

What is life like since you rescued Moose? Mootastic! He definitely enhances our lives and shows us a kind of love that is so unique and unwavering.

Photographers Notes: When I met Moose the first thing I thought was big handsome goof ball! This dog just exudes happiness and joy. He had so much fun showing off his ball skills, while taking many breaks under trees and bushes to get a little shade; it was a pretty warm day after all. Then to see him with all of his fur siblings getting along so great, just warms my heart. This sweet boy had no idea when he was carried in to that vet office what a great life it would lead to, which is really all we want for all rescue dogs right? A second chance at happiness & forever love!
