Rescue Story: I happened upon him. He was being sold in a Walmart parking lot at 5 weeks old. It was an accidental litter. The man didn't want them but he didn't want to just give them away either. So he asked for a small re-homing fee to ensure they wouldn't be sold to fighting rings or be mistreated. I picked Maddox up , he looked me in the eyes  and laid his tiny head on my chest. It was meant to be.

Teeny tiny Maddox, the day he went home.

What is your favorite pastime with Maddox? I love going on walks with Maddox. He doesn't always like to go, because he is so laid back, but he goes because I am going and doesn't want to be away from me.

What is life like since you rescued Maddox? Life has been amazing for me since I got Maddox. He is the one stable thing I have right now. He has been there when I am down, and he has been there when I am up. I am beyond thankful for that sweet boy. I have NEVER had a connection with another animal like I do with him.

As for Maddox, life has been a breeze. He is so far past spoiled I can't help but laugh when I see him. He has a plush bed, nothing to worry about, and loving whenever he wants. To be completely honest, I wish I had HIS life!

Photographers Note: First of all Nick and Taylor are definitely animal lovers. Besides their two dogs, they have chickens, snakes, rats (not sure what else) and also foster other dogs, including Abbie a sweet senior boxer. In meeting Maddox, the first thing you see are those striking eyes and then you of course move on to his adorable ears. He is such a sweetie and still very much a pup. It was the first chilly morning in a long time and Maddox took the opportunity to do some belly scratching on the dewy morning grass. Just pulling himself along, legs straight back and belly flat on the grass. Then to meet Daisy, Maddox's BFF...they are so cute together and you can tell there is a lot of playing that goes on between those two. Daisy was much more animated and moving around during the family shoot. Giving kisses to her parents, checking out what Maddox was doing, jumping up for treats...while Maddox just chilled out next to his Mom.
