Rescue Story: Blue's previous owners were unable to keep him due to breed restrictions. They were going to take him to the shelter and their landlord knew we were looking for a dog and asked if we would take him in. We of course said we would.

Charles found Scrappy by the dumpster searching for food and called him over.  Scrappy jumped right in the car. Charles called Michelle to come outside at 2am to see the dog he brought home. Michelle was upset because she normally gets up at 5am and couldn't understand why he was waking her up. When Michelle walked outside and saw Scrappy sitting in the passenger seat she immediately wanted to keep him.

Late night arrival photo of Scrappy!

What is your favorite pastime as a family? For Blue it was when he use to sleep with us in our bed. We would wake up with him cuddled in our arms. Charles would go to kiss him in the morning and it was the wrong end!  For Scrappy, it's more recent. When we brought the baby home from the hospital, Michelle was holding the baby and sitting on the couch. Scrappy went up to them, sat down and laid his head on Michelle's lap as she held the baby.

What is life like since you rescued Blue & Scrappy? Both of them have a High Life. They are indoor dogs and spoiled like crazy. Blue has claimed the recliner as his own. Scrappy gets all the special attention that he wants and needs. For us they each hold a special place in our hearts. They are like family and nothing can replace them.

Photographers Note: Of course I have to comment on Charles Jr first. Such a sweet and quiet baby. Watching him watch his 4-legged brothers and reach out to touch them, was just so adorable. Love that he gets to grow up with these two wonderful dogs looking out for him. Michelle was not kidding about Scrappy being the Nanny dog. While I was working on getting some shots of the pups, Michelle and Charles Jr were sitting back by the house. Scrappy kept running back to them (in the middle of some serious ball playing with his brother), putting his head on the arm of the chair and checking in on her and the baby. It was so sweet. Now Blue, he is an impressive boy...that head alone!! Whenever I sat on the ground to take a photo, he just couldn't resist running up to me and giving me a huge slobbery kiss.  Of course I loved it, my dogs when I got home...not so much! Such an adorable family!
