  2. Goofy
  3. Sweet
  4. Loving
  5. Couch Potato

What makes Penny unique? I'm biased, but she is the smartest, sweetest girl I have met. She is easily trained  (when her mile-wide stubborn streak doesn't get in the way). She is on her way to becoming a certified therapy dog!

Look at those little teeth...

Rescue Story: I rescued Penny from a wonderful Pit Bull Rescue organization , Friends to the Forlorn. Penny was lucky enough to be born into their foster group; her Mom (still looking for her forever home!) was rescued from the animal shelter after her owner was imprisoned on murder charges. After she was sprung from the shelter, mommy was given great care  and gave birth to her litter, Penny included! Penny was one of the last of her siblings to get adopted. She picked me right away. Her sweet personality and loving eyes were the perfect fit for my lifestyle and dreams of training and handling a therapy dog!

Gotcha day!

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Some of our favorite things to do are snuggling on the couch watching TV (with the volume turned up to drown out her snoring!) and taking hikes in the Kennesaw Mountain National Park.

What is life like since you rescued Penny? Life has been a wonderful mixture of crazy, stressful, beautiful, messy, love and learning. Penny is the first dog I have owned, so it has been a learning curve. She has been just one wiggly bundle of love I can't imagine not having, She has been spoiled rotten  and worked hard (I think she likes the spoiled parts better).

Photographers Note: First off this pup is just beautiful, I mean look at her markings and that adorable little turned up nose. During the Bowtie shot, she was a pro...I had many many photos of her that were exactly the same, just holding the pose like a champ...I was shocked this sweet and well behaved  girl was not yet a year old. Then I got to see some of the puppy...every dog that came into the Square she wanted to play with, there were some army crawls and various positions she threw out in the hopes to gain some interest from the passerby's, but no luck! This was when the "goofy" really came out. She has such a sweet face and demeanor; she was truly a pleasure to photograph. Plus as a bonus her cousin and pal Sayde  got to join in on the family shot. I can't wait to here more about Penny's progress in her pursuit to be a therapy dog. I know she will be a fantastic help to many and bring many many smiles!
