What makes Tuck unique? He loves humans and attention. Anytime anyone pets Bailey(our other dog) he likes to stick his head between your hand and Bailey so you can pet him instead.

Rescue Story: I was volunteering at a shelter in Austin, TX and they had a program to bring dogs on sleepovers to your home. Tuck was so sweet, I knew I had to bring him home to give him a break-- I did this a few times. Grant was deployed at the time, so as soon as he got back from Korea I took him to the shelter to meet Tuck (seriously, the day after he landed back). We began fostering him shortly after that and eventually he got adopted. We were very sad when a family adopted him but knew he would have a happy life. A month later, they returned him because he was not a good fit for them. We were happy to continue to foster him and shortly after decided we did not want to let him go again and decided to adopt him ourselves.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? We love to just cuddle with him on the couch while we watch TV. It's also funny to see him try to out sniff our hound, she's got quite the nose and he's not as good as she is at sniffing for treats.
What is life like since you rescued Tuck? Our life is great! He complements our other dog so well since they are so different. He's a lot more cuddly and needy while Bailey is a lot more independent but a lot of fun on trails/outdoors.
Photographers Note: First of all, when I arrived at their home I thought I had the wrong house. I rang the bell and not a single bark. Grant opened the door and sure enough there were Tuck and Bailey wagging their tails in greeting. These two are the quietest pair. All they wanted to do was bump me with their noses and get attention.
Now Tuck, this pup is a photographers dream…first he is super chill and relaxed. He holds his poses so well when treats are present. Then with all that he has that adorable face with the perfect black and white markings. We tried to get him to do some active things like catch his favorite toy in the air, which he did a handful of times. Unfortunately that didn’t work out so well and he was pretty much over it at that point. No matter, seeing that handsome boy hold a pose through my view finder was perfection! I may have told Carolina I wanted to blow up one of the shots and hang it in my own home. : )
