Rescue Story: Alex and I stepped up to foster Ellie when her previous foster parents were unable to keep her (even though they adored her, they had cats and Ellie has a high prey drive). I knew within the first week that she would be ours forever. Ellie was seen running around Atlanta for almost six months and she was so fast and timid that no one was able to lure her in until an amazing woman named Carolyn, owner of Two Tailz Rescue, finally caught her and rescued her from the streets. We do not know the trauma that Ellie has endured, but we think she may have had a few litters of puppies and was then dumped to fend for herself.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Ellie LOVES to go on long hikes and play fetch with her squeaky ball. She also loves going to my parents house and run around the yard with her four furry best friends.
What is life like since you rescued Ellie? Since we got Ellie, every day is happier and more fulfilling. She is such a sweet, loving soul and her energy is contagious. She truly brightened up our life and continues to make us laugh and smile every single day! We are so incredibly thankful for her.
Photographers Note: Ellie is related to Jeff our volunteer from October. So we actually did the photo shoot at Jeff’s house! She got to run around with her 4-legged relatives and just had a blast. Turns out she is quite a good poser as well. Ellie is such a beautiful pup and boy is she a muscular gal, all packed into that petite frame. This girl has the most beautiful eyes and the best pibble smile. This family definitely seems to have the market on cute short pibbles! : )
