What makes Nala & Jezzie unique? Nala likes to run on a long lead and take a rolling dive on the grass. While Jezzie, I don’t think I’ve ever heard her wimper, even when she gashes herself running through bushes, etc. She is obsessed with people, dogs, (especially small dogs), and is prejudiced against light colored dogs.

Big Smile from Nala!

That ear !!!

Rescue Story: We picked Nala out in a pen of about five puppies at Fulton County Animal Services immediately, had to wait a week to get her.

Puppy Nala at the shelter.

Jezzie was dumped at the Lenora Church dog park, and people noticed and started networking to find her a home. Gwinnett Animal Control picked her up, and my friends convinced me to foster her. I was a bit nervous about bringing another female dog into the house, as I already had two. She was terrible about running off, and encouraged my other two dogs to terrorize the neighborhood whenever we weren’t carefully watching the door. I went on a short trip, and when I came back, I noticed her shyly standing in the background to greet me, and I knew I had to keep her.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Walking in the woods and snuggling.

What is life like since you rescued Nala & Jezzie? We love Nala so much, she is unique. Jezzie likes to sleep under the covers with me, doesn’t get out of bed until 10 or so. She’s a fence jumper and a handful, but so sweet. She looks depressed sometimes, but I think we share a happy life.

Photographers Note: I loved meeting this great family. Silver wanted to be involved in everything we did and all three of these dogs are so sweet. They welcomed me into their yard and escorted me back. Always curious as to what I was doing. Katherine shared stories of Jezzie’s escape escapades & she brought out the flirt pole for them to show off their skills. These two are great examples of every dog is an individual. They each have their own funny quirks and their family loves them unconditionally.
