What makes Katie & Kane unique? Katie’s commitment to luxury. She loves pillows and beds. Kane’s facial expressions. We never have any trouble figuring out how he feels.

Katie very pleased with her self after her roll on the pitchers mound.

Kane enjoying the freedom a baseball filed can provide!

Rescue Stories: Katie wandered up to Will in a parking lot 10 years ago when he was living in Lubbock, TX. ; slightly mangy and slightly underweight but overall healthy. She has stuck with him ever since. Kane was our foster fail from W-Underdogs. I wanted to get a second pup, but Will wanted to test how Katie would do with a second pup around so we decided to be a foster. Kane was our foster for about 2 months. He got along wonderfully with Katie and we couldn't possibly give him up, so we adopted him.

Kane thinking so far this new “foster” home is pretty good.

What is your favorite pastime as a family? Dog & human parties. During Covid, this has been a little tough but our two pit mixes get along with all our friend's dogs! Since Covid started, Kane enjoys 2 miles runs with me 2-4 times a week. It was tougher to do when the weather got colder and the daylight shorter.

Will and Katie enjoy lazy Sundays on the couch together, watching sports and other TV. Kane sometimes joins in.

What is life like since you rescued Katie & Kane? For the pups, lots of naps and treats. Our life is much richer for having them in it. We never considered the breed before one wandered up, but now we couldn't recommend pit bulls enough. They are delightful, friendly, loyal and lazy.

Photographers Note: Due to a previous rain out we were able to reschedule & meet up on a Friday late afternoon in a nearby park; which happened to have a completely fenced in baseball field. We got the dogs ready for their bowtie shots and Kristin & Will thought they would be fine off leash. Well….. once Kane was taken off the leash he was gone. Just running laps around the outfield, chasing birds, having the best time, huge smile on his and all while dressed in his Shine A Light bowtie. As we were trying to coax Kane to come back, Katie was behind us on the pitchers mound. She plopped down and proceeded to conduct an epic back scratch and roll in the red Georgia clay, also while wearing her bowtie. You have to give these two credit they like to enjoy their pastimes in style. It was such a beautiful evening and just had a great time with these folks & their adorable (& very stylish) pups!
